Service Description
The 47 Hour Firearms Training Course is for current security guards who would like to upgrade their license to work as an ARMED SECURITY GUARD, or for persons who have received a Pistol Permit and have had little or no training and wish to attend a course and receive high quality Firearms instructions and practice. Instruction will be given in several areas such as shooting drills, Article 35 of the Penal Law of New York State (Justification – Use of Force and Deadly Force), tactical considerations, shoot and move, ammunition concerns, post incident trauma, holsters and weapon retention, care and cleaning, safety procedures and consequences of a shooting. In addition, different types of firearms and their safe storage will be discussed as well. Excellent training course with a lot of shooting drills.
Cancellation Policy
REFUND POLICY: Students will receive a 100% refund prior to the start of instruction. If course is divided between two days, student will receive a 50% refund if requested before start of second day. If course is divided into four sessions, the refund schedule shall be 75%, 50%, and 25%. A security guard training school cannot assess any non-refundable fees or deposits. If a student requests a tuition refund that student should email Defensor Security Corp at pcanna@defensorsecuritycorp.com and site the reason for cancelling. Refund Procedure: Refund Request: The refund will be provided to the student within thirty (30) days of request in the form of a company check. Attendance Policy: Security Guard Courses require 100% attendance in order to receive a certificate, therefore ANY time missed will result in denial of the certificate. If an emergency arises AND we are notified in advance of the emergency, the student will be allowed to participate in the next class offered at no further cost to the student. Complaint Procedure: Any complaint regarding a course taken at Amherst Security Professionals should be directed to the Director of Operations via email at pcanna@defensorsecuritycorp.com or by calling Defensor Security Corp at 716-984-3319.
